Introduction
This is a very intensive two week full-time course
designed to prepare
experienced teachers whose first language is not English for the Cambridge ESOL
TKT. The course is designed to prepare candidates to be tested on their
knowledge of concepts related to language, language use and the background to
and practice of language teaching and learning.
The TKT is composed of three modules, which
participants take on the last day. The content of TKT is tested by means of
objective tasks, such as matching and multiple choice. Candidates are not
required to listen, speak or write in English on the test. The course does not
include practical teaching.
This course can be combined with a teaching practice component or with an
English language component.
