The Leonardo da Vinci Programme

                                    Results of Recent Interviews

The Leonardo da Vinci programme is part of the European Commission’s Lifelong Learning Programme and aims to build a skilled workforce across Europe.

Language Link is a receiving partner for the EU-funded programme.  This means that we work with selected European organisations to provide work placement programmes for people coming to the UK.

Host organisation

Since 2007 Language Link has provided London based companies with trainees, students and graduates coming from other European member states.

Host companies have experienced many benefits such as:

Saving time and money: many employers use participants for project and research work which saves routine staff time and allows them to concentrate on more urgent tasks;

Improving their workforce by employing motivated multilingual staff;

Becoming part of a cultural programme that has changed the lives of many for the better.

Many of our host companies receive students on a regular basis. This has given them the opportunity to create networks and links with other member states, and thus benefiting from the introduction of new ideas and the addition of a European dimension to their business , which can lead to fresh market opportunities.

BECOME A WORK PLACEMENT

Every company that is interested in becoming our partner can do it freely by filling in the following forms and sending them directly to us.

Sending organisation

As a sending organization, we undertake to:

Define the training programme objectives in terms of the skills and competences to be developed.

Choose the appropriate target country, host organisation, project duration and training programme content to achieve these objectives

Select participants on the basis of clearly defined and transparent criteria.

Prepare participants in collaboration with partner organisations for the practical, professional and cultural life of the host country.

Establish a contract including a training agreement whose contents are transparent for all parties involved.

Manage transport, accomodation, visa/work permit arrangements and social security cover and insurance.

Evaluate with each participant the personal and professional development achieved through participation in the Leonardo programme.
